How do I check my RoHS compliance?
STRC has the capability to test for lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium.

Is cadmium RoHS compliant?
The RoHS Directive currently restricts the use of ten substances: lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).
What RoHS 5 compliance?
The RoHS directive specifies 6 substances; lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB’s & PBDE’s that are either banned or restricted. So the term RoHS 5 or RoHS 5/6 means that a part only contains lead and does not contain the other 5 substances.
What RoHS 3 compliance?
RoHS 3 (EU 2015/863) expands the list of prohibited substances from six to ten by adding four new types of phthalates. This directive has been adopted by the EU legislature and came into full force on the 22nd of July 2019 with a special provision for medical devices until 2021 (see below for details).
