The rings that come with the Scout (yes, it requires a higher rear ring) have numbers cast into their base. Mine came with a #4 (front) and #5 (rear) ring. As noted, if the scope just misses the rail, get a two number higher ring to use as the rear and use the old rear ring as the front ring.
