Can you play counter traps from your hand?
Their effects are applied as long as they are face-up on the field. Counter Trap Cards are a Spell Speed 3. Only other Counter Trap Cards can be chained to a Counter Trap Card. There are some exceptions on activating Trap Cards, some cards allow Trap Cards to be activated during the turn it’s set or even from the hand.
Can you chain a counter trap to a counter trap?
The basic rule is that Counter Traps can only be used against the card they are immediately following in a chain. So for Counter Traps: Chain Link 2 used against Chain Link 1 only.
Do counter traps target?
Most Counter Trap Cards do not target for the same reason – they respond to the card/effect that was activated before it, meaning there is no selection, thus no targeting.
Can Shien negate counter traps?
Legendary Six Samurai – Shi En cannot negate a Counter Trap Card. Only a Counter Trap Card can be chained to the activation of Counter Trap Card.
How do you use a counter trap?
When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated: Reveal 1 Counter Trap in your hand, then discard 1 card and pay 1000 LP; negate the activation, and if you do, shuffle that card into the Deck. Then, you can Special Summon 1 “Parshath” monster from your Deck or Extra Deck.
Can you activate two trap cards at once?
You cannot activate a Trap in the same turn that you Set it, but you can activate it at any time after that—starting from the beginning of the next turn. Normal Trap Cards have single-use effects and once their effects are resolved, they will be sent to the Graveyard, just like Normal Spell Cards.

A card is destroyed when it is sent to the Graveyard due to battle between monsters or by an effect that destroys a card. A card that is returned from the field to the hand or Deck, or, that is sent to the Graveyard as a cost or Tribute, is NOT considered “destroyed.”
