Does Silvercar still exist?
In 2017, Audi fully acquired Silvercar and since then we’ve seen an increase in pick-up locations, Audi vehicle types, a vehicle delivery option, the launch of a points-based rewards program and more. Silvercar by Audi will remain available to our customers at our in-town and Audi dealership locations.
What happened to Silvercar?
As reported by AutoSlash, Silvercar will be closing all airport locations as of early December 2020. The pandemic is being blamed for this decision, but it also sounds like we should expect this to be a permanent change: As Audi opens more dealerships there will be more locations from which to rent with Silvercar.
How much does Silvercar cost?
The Silvercar rental cost varies based on the vehicle chosen, and rates can be found starting at around $49 per day. Depending upon where you are traveling and the time of year, these rates could actually be the same or less compared to other rental car agencies.
How do you use Silvercar?
To complete your rental, just return to the designated drop-off site (the address can be found in the Silvercar app menu and is also located in the car’s navigation system under NAV -> DESTINATIONS -> FAVORITES). Upon returning the car, your reservation will end and you will receive an e-receipt via email.

Can I return Silvercar after hours?
Silvercar’s grace period is 59 minutes. Your 24 hour rental period begins at the time you actually pick up your Silvercar. If you find you need to extend your rental and return later than originally expected, you can modify your reservation in the Silvercar application.
