Raise Up Washington is the coalition of workers, unions, faith leaders, community members and business owners working to pass Initiative 1433 this November, and we need your help β€” sign up to volunteer in your neighborhood, on the phone or in one of our campaign offices.

Initiative 1433 would give all workers the opportunity to earn paid sick and safe leave and gradually raise the statewide minimum wage to $13.50 over four years.

No one should have to choose between staying home to take care of themselves or a sick child and losing a paycheck. When restaurant and grocery workers, homecare and childcare workers are unable to take time off due to illness they can expose our communities to disease. It’s vitally important to pass a common-sense law like paid sick leave to help prevent the spread of disease and keep customers, employees, children, the elderly and our families safe.

And no one who works full-time should still struggle to make ends meet. Yes on 1433 will put $600 more into the pockets of more than 730,000 low-wage workers every month. When low-wage workers have more money, they immediately spend it at local businesses, injecting nearly $2.5 billion dollars into local economies.

Yes on 1433 will be good for our workers, our families and our economy. Join the movement to Raise Up Washington this November.
